Volunteer Opportunities

Without the help and support of our volunteers we could not produce the vibrant, high-quality theater our audiences have come to expect.  There are many ways to become involved at the Douglas Morrisson Theatre.

We hold auditions for all our productions on a regular basis right here at the theatre. Generally, we announce auditions via our online newsletter, DMT Updates, in TBA Magazine and on several websites.  You can also check out our Auditions page for more information.

Like many theatres, we utilize volunteers for our Ushering positions.  Ushering is a great way to get involved with the theatre while seeing shows for free.  To log in to our ushering sign-up site, click here.

Specialized Skills

We are excited to work with anyone who's interested in donating their expertise to the theatre.  People with marketing, event and fundraising experience are especially encouraged to get in touch with us.  In addition, if you enjoy working with your hands we also accept volunteers interested in working on scenery, painting, costumes and props.

How Do I Become a Volunteer?

After notifying us of your interest in volunteering and providing us with your phone number and/or email address, you will be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator. If we are able to match your interests and availability with our needs, you will be asked to complete our standard "Volunteer Application" packet.

A completed application packet must be submitted before any volunteer assignment may be undertaken.  Minors must have their forms signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Please note that all volunteers over the age of 18 are required to be fingerprinted, at District expense.
