Auditions (by appointment):

Saturday, July 7, 1:00-4:00pm and Sunday, July 8,  6:00-9:00pm, at the Douglas Morrisson Theatre, 22311 N. Third Street, Hayward, CA 94546

Callbacks (by invitation):

Wednesday, July 11, 7:00pm-10:00pm.  Location TBA

Roles:

Count Dracula: Male, 40s-50s.   A mysterious and charismatic man. Polished and distinguished. Continental in appearance and manner.

Maid: Female, Any age.

Jonathan Harker: Male, 20s-30s.  A typical Englishman of the public school class, but in a manner direct, explosive, incisive and excitable.

Dr. Seward: Male, 50s.  An alienist. Intelligent, but a typical specialist who lives in a world of text books and patients, not a man of action or force of character.

Abraham Van Helsing: Male, 50s.  He has an astute face, nervous alert manner, and air of resolution; clearly a man of resourceful action. Incisive speech, always to the point.

R. M. Renfield: Male, 20s-30s.  A lunatic at Dr. Seward’s sanitorium.

Attendant: Male, Any age.  Cockney. Works at Dr. Seward’s sanitorium.

Lucy Seward: Female, 20s.  Has mysteriously been taken ill. 

All ethnicities are encouraged to submit. 

Non-AEA.

What to Prepare:

Please bring a headshot and resume. You will be asked to read from the script.    

Rehearsals:

The rehearsal period begins the week of October 1 and runs through November 14, 2018.  Rehearsals are held evenings at the Douglas Morrisson Theatre.

Compensation/Stipends:

Stipends are available to help defray travel and other expenses.

Production Dates:

Dracula will be performed November 15 through December 2, 2018.  Performances will be at 8:00pm November 15, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and December 1.  Matinees will be at 2:00pm on November 18, 25, and December 1 & 2.

Eleven performances in total.  Please note there are two performances on Saturday, December 1.
