This summer the Douglas Morrisson Theatre will offer Theatre Camps for young performers ages 7 to 10 and 11 to 14. Theatre campers will explore the world of live theatre through music, movement, and acting. The focus is on creative expression, imagination, respect for the art, and acquiring and perfecting performance skills.

The head instructor will be educator and popular Bay Area performer, Shauna Shoptaw.

The Stage Kid’s Workshop brings the world of theatre to children ages 7 to 10 and meets for one week, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm., July 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18. The fee is $135.

The Youth Performance Workshop is a an expanded camp for young performers ages 11 to 14 who want to hone their performance skills by presenting a short musical theatre performance. This workshop meets for two weeks, Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 2 pm, July 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, and August 1. The fee for this workshop is $255.
